Alexis Whitfield, a 6’2″ 2nd-year freshman wing/big for the Washington Huskies, confirmed with UDUBWBB.com that she entered her name in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
She is officially transferring from the University of Washington.
Along with Olivia Pollerd, Marisa Davis and Jess Finney, this now makes the fourth recent transfer announcement by a player recruited by the former UW head coach Jody Wynn.
Clearly one of Washington’s most talented and versatile players, Whitfield struggled to find playing time this season — Coach Langley primarily used her as a backup to center Nancy Mulkey.
During the 2021-22 PAC-12 season, Whitfield averaged only 10 minutes a game, playing in 13 of the 16 games.
Against PAC-12 competition, Whitfield shot 44.7% from the field overall — 51.7% on two-pointers and 22.2% on three-pointers.

Alexis was an exciting two-play player for the Huskies, her signature move was grabbing a defensive rebounding and pushing the ball up court to start a fastbreak.
