Aussie Sharpshooter Olivia Pollerd Reconfirms Her 2021 Commitment to UW WBB: “I’m 100% staying!”

Olivia Pollerd — a 6’3″ left-handed Australian guard/wing with extended 3-point range — has informed UDUBWBB.com that she is firmly committed to the University of Washington Women’s basketball program and new head coach Tina Langley.

Pollerd stated, “I’m 100% staying. I’m super happy with everything and am excited for what’s to come!”

Along with Marisa Davis and Avery Van Sickle, Pollerd makes the third 2021 recruit to verbally re-commit to the UW WBB program under the new leadership of head coach Tina Langley.

Pollerd brings valuable international basketball experience to the Huskies, recently representing Australia in Under 20 nationals play.

Olivia Pollerd was rated as the #22 international player in the 2021 Global Rankings by WorldWide Hoops & Premier Basketball.

Pollerd originally announced her committment to the UW Huskies on August 22, 2020; and is part of a stellar 2021 recruiting class signed by former Washington head coach Jody Wynn.

A.J. Marotte, another member of the original five-member 2021 UW WBB recruiting class, decommited from UW and commited to Oregon State University on Wednesday, April 14th.

Jess Finney, the fifth member of the original 2021 recruiting class, was an early enrollee at the University of Washington in January 2021 for former head coach Jody Wynn.

Finney played the second half of the 2020-2021 season for the Huskies.

After the March 15, 2021 firing of Jody Wynn, UDUBWBB.com reported that all of the 2021 recruits (not including early enrollee Jess Finney) indicated they would “wait & see” who would be hired as the new UW WBB coach — before making a final decision regarding their commitment to the University Washington.

As of this date, Washington’s new head coach Tina Langley has now retained four of the original five 2021 recruiting class.
