Washington, which entered a new era after hiring Tina Langley as head coach, got some bad news Wednesday regarding its highly rated 2021 recruiting class.
ESPN TOP 100 Player (ranked #63) Ashtynne “AJ” Marotte has decommitted from the University of Washington and will be attending Oregon State University.
In a statement on Twitter, Oregon State WBB announced Marotte’s commitment to Oregon State University.
Welcome to the Family AJ Marotte @_ashtynne!!
AJ is a four-star recruit out of Cedar Park, Texas, who averaged 17.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game in her senior season.

Marotte informed UDUBWBB.com that she had received a release from her National Letter of Intent(NLI) from UW and signed a NLI with Oregon State on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-1 guard/wing had been committed to Washington since March 31st, 2020.
