The Washington Huskies continued their recruiting momentum on Tuesday with the commitment of five-star guard Jessie Moses, one of the nation’s top prospects in the 2027 recruiting class.

A 5-foot-9 combo guard from Norristown, Pennsylvania, Moses currently attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where she has emerged as one of the most coveted backcourt players in the country. Her commitment gives Washington head coach Tina Langley and the Huskies another significant recruiting victory as Washington continues to attract elite national talent.

Moses chose Washington from a list of 34 scholarship offers, selecting the Huskies over programs that included Rutgers, UCF, TCU, Michigan State, Miami, Illinois, Clemson, Virginia, Harvard, and several other high-major programs.

Widely regarded as one of the premier players in her class, Moses is ranked No. 30 nationally and the No. 2 combo guard in the 2027 class by the 247Sports Composite rankings. She is also rated as a five-star prospect by ESPN’s NEXT rankings, reinforcing her status as one of the top guards in the country.

Her rise on the national recruiting scene has been fueled by her production at IMG Academy, one of the nation’s most respected basketball programs. During the 2024-25 season, Moses averaged 19 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals per game while showcasing the versatility that has made her one of the most sought-after recruits in the class.

Recruiting analysts view Moses as one of the elite two-way players in the 2027 cycle. Her ability to score at all three levels, create opportunities for teammates, pressure opposing ball handlers, and impact games defensively has made her a priority target for coaches across the country.

For Washington, the commitment represents another milestone in a recruiting surge that has helped elevate the program’s national profile. Moses cited her strong connection with Langley and the Huskies coaching staff as a major factor in her decision, highlighting the relationships built throughout the recruiting process.

Her skill set appears to be a natural fit for Washington’s system. As a dynamic combo guard capable of handling primary playmaking responsibilities or playing off the ball, Moses brings versatility that should allow her to thrive within the Huskies’ offensive framework while also providing defensive intensity on the perimeter.

The addition of Moses gives Washington one of the highest-ranked commitments in recent program history and further demonstrates the Huskies’ ability to compete for elite prospects on a national scale. As Langley continues to build for the future, landing a player of Moses’ caliber provides another cornerstone piece for a program looking to establish itself among the Big Ten’s top contenders.

With her combination of scoring ability, defensive instincts, athleticism, and basketball IQ, Moses enters the Washington recruiting class as a player expected to make a significant impact when she eventually arrives in Seattle. For a Huskies program that has steadily increased its presence on the recruiting trail, securing a commitment from one of the nation’s top guards is another sign that Washington’s future remains bright.

With the anticipated graduation of standout point guard Sayvia Sellers following the 2026-27 season, the commitment of Jessie Moses represents a critical investment in the future of Washington’s backcourt.

One of the nation’s most explosive and versatile guards in the 2027 class, Moses gives the Huskies a potential cornerstone piece capable of helping sustain the athleticism, playmaking, and scoring punch that have defined Washington’s recent success led by Sellers.

Combined with the arrival of highly regarded current freshman combo guard Amayah Garcia and the 2026 transfer addition of junior guard Brooke Carlson from Colorado State, Moses’ commitment further strengthens the long-term outlook of the Huskies’ backcourt rotation.

Together, those additions position Washington for a smooth transition into the post-Sellers era while maintaining the depth and talent necessary to compete at the highest level of the Big Ten.
