WNBA: UW WBB Huskies Guard Elle Ladine Earns Seattle Storm Training Camp Invitation

Washington Huskies senior guard Elle Ladine is set to begin her professional journey right where her college career ended — in Seattle. The Seattle Storm announced Tuesday that Ladine has received a training camp invitation, giving the standout guard an opportunity to compete for a roster spot ahead of the 2026 WNBA season.

Ladine leaves Washington as one of the program’s most productive and versatile guards. The 5-foot-11 San Francisco native became just the 13th Husky to surpass 1,300 career points and 500 rebounds, while also ranking No. 8 all-time in made three-pointers and No. 4 in career free‑throw percentage. Her résumé includes a rare 40‑point performance in 2024, making her only the fourth player in school history to reach that mark in a single game.

Across four seasons, Ladine averaged 11.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, highlighted by a breakout junior year in which she posted 17 points per game and earned All–Big Ten Second Team honors. Despite battling a lower‑body injury early in her senior season, she delivered key performances down the stretch, including a 25‑point effort that lifted Washington past USC in the Big Ten Tournament.

The Storm open training camp Sunday and must trim their roster from 18 to 12 players by May 8. Ladine now has the chance to showcase her scoring ability, toughness, and perimeter shooting as she competes for a spot in the WNBA.
