The #20-ranked Washington Huskies (8-1) host the Green Bay Phoenix (8-3) at Hec Ed on Saturday, December 13th at 12 p.m. on the B1G Plus Network.

After a close 50-59 Sunday road loss to the USC Trojans in Los Angeles, the Dawgs aim to resume their unbeaten home streak for the 2025-26 season versus the Phoenix.

However, Washington is only shooting 35.8% from farther away in the lane.

Finally, Schultz has zero three-point attempts.
Jenna Guyer, a 6’2″ redshirt senior center, is averaging a second-leading 10.8 points per game (in limited games).
Guyer is most effective scoring in the lane, converting 60% (9 for 15) within 4.5 feet of the rim; but only 33% (4 for 12)from farther out in the lane.

Maddy Skorupski, a 5‘8″ senior guard, is averaging a third-leading 9.2 points per game; as well as a second-leading 4.9 rebounds per game; and a second-leading 3.8 assists.
Skorupski is most effective scoring at the rim, shooting 65.2% (within 4.5 feet); but is also shooting a team-leading 50% (7 for 14) from three-point range (on limited attempts).

To secure the victory, the UW Huskies should dominate the Green Bay Phoenix by:
(1) limiting the offensive opportunities of Green Bay’s front court leading scorers, Meghan Schultz and Jenna Guyer, by disrupting their post-up attempts, as well as limiting their offensive rebounding and second chance opportunities;
(2) pushing tempo offensively to take advantage of the Huskies superior roster depth to wear down the Phoenix’s thin roster;
(3) playing tough and physical on-ball and off-ball pressure defense to disrupt and force 15 or more turnovers by Green Bay (who average 13.9 turnovers per game); and
(4) dominating the Phoenix backcourt early with explosive scoring by UW guards, i.e., Sayvia Sellers and Avery Howell (and hopefully, Elle Ladine).
The elite defense, transition offense and veteran experience of the Dawgs should be enough to overcome Green Bay’s upset efforts and secure a victory of 20 points or more.
