After a 67-50 home victory over UC San Diego on Friday, the Dawgs aim to extend their undefeated start to the 2025-26 season at home versus the San Jose State Spartans.
Washington’s offense currently averages 73.4 points per game; while the Huskies defense hold opponents to 47.4 points per game.
The Huskies offense is highly efficient scoring at the rim (within 4.5 feet) making 64.2% of their shots.

However, Washington is only shooting 38.3% from farther away in the lane.

Avery Howell is the Huskies second-leading scorer with 11.4 points per game; a team-leading 7.0 rebounds per game; and is fourth in steals with 1.1 per game.
Howell is making 37.1% (13 for 35) from three-point range; and 54.5% of her two-point attempts (12 for 22).

Freshman Brynn McGaughy is the Huskies third-leading scorer with 9.4 points per game.

San Jose State Spartans Preview
The San Jose State Spartans hold a 0-5 record and are coming off of a loss to Portland State, 64-75.
The Spartans offense currently averages 56.4 points per game; while the Spartans defense allows opponents to score 73.0 points per game — a -16.6 scoring margin.

Maya Anderson also only makes 21.7% of her three-point attempts.
Allie Cummins, a 5’9″ junior guard, does not average double figures but is the third-leading scorer at 8.2 points per game; and takes most of her shots from deep, yet shoots only 25% (7 for 28) from three-point range. Cummins is also second-leading in assists at 2.0 per game.
