The Washington Huskies (17-12, 8-9 B1G) dominated the second and third quarters for an 83-62 road victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers(20 -9, 8-9 B1G).
For the game, the Dawgs shot 58% overall (29 for 50); 50% from three-point range (8 for 16); and 61.8% on two-point attempts (21 for 34).
Washington’s defense held the Minnesota offense to 46% from the field overall; and only 25% from three-point range.
However, Minnesota shot 81.3% at-the-rim (13 for 16) and 50% on mid-range attempts (4 for 8).
The Dawgs scored 34 points-in-the-paint versus 30 by the Gophers.
Washington committed 11 turnovers versus 10 turnovers by Minnesota.
UW WBB Player of the Game: Elle Ladine
In 34 minutes of playing time, Elle Ladine led the Huskies with 26 points by shooting 76.9% from the field overall (10-13); 100% from three-point range (4 for 4); and 66.7% (6 for 9) on two-point attempts.
Ladine also recorded five rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

1st Quarter
The Huskies started slowly in the first period, allowing a 7 to 0 mid-quarter scoring run by the Gophers.
The Huskies offense shot 25% overall (4 of 16) and 25% (2 for 8) from three-point range.
Meanwhile, Minnesota shot 46.7% (7 for 15)shooting overall and 60% (3 for 5) from three-point range.
The Huskies were led by Elle Ladine with five (5) points; Sayvia Sellers added three points; and Hannah Stines added two points.
The Huskies trailed the Gophers, 10-17, at to end the first period.
2nd Quarter
In the second period, the Huskies came back and outscored Minnesota, 23-16.
Washington shot a scorching 83.3% (7-12) from the field overall; and 100% (3 for 3) from three-point range.
Meanwhile, Minnesota’s offense shot 58.3% (6 for 12) from the field overall; along with 20% (1 for 5) shooting from three-point range.
The Huskies were led by Elle Ladine with seven (7) points; Devon Coppinger with six points; Dalayah Daniels added four points; and Sayvia Sellers, Hannah Stines and Teagan Brown added two points each.
Heading into halftime, the Huskies and Gophers were tied 33-33.

3rd Quarter
In the third period, the Huskies dominated the Gophers and outscored them, 24 to 11.
The Dawgs shot 71.4% (10 for 14) shooting overall; and 66.7% from three-point range (2 for 3).
Minnesota shot only on 38.5% shooting overall (5 for 13) and 0% from three-point range (0 for 4).
Washington was led in scoring by Hannah Stines and Elle Ladine with seven points each; Sayvia Sellers and Dalayah Daniels with four points each; and Breann McDonald added two points.
The Huskies built a 13-point lead heading into the final period, 57-44.

4th Quarter
In the final period, the Huskies allowed a late 12-0 scoring run by the Gophers, but ultimately secured a comfortable victory.
The Huskies shot 62.5% (5 for 8) shooting overall; and 50% shooting from three-point range (1 for 2).
In the fourth period, Washington was led by Elle Ladine with seven (7) points; Dalayah Daniels added six points; and Sayvia Sellers added two points.
The Dawgs posted a 72-62 victory over Minnesota.
