The Washington Huskies (16-12, 7-9 B1G) used a 28-point performance by Elle Ladine to power past the Nebraska Cornhuskers (18 -10, B1G 9-8), 83-62, in a Sunday afternoon road blowout victory.
(Nebraska played without its injured starting point guard Britt Prince.)
Dalayah Daniels posted a huge double-double performance: 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals.
However, Elle Ladine jump-started the Huskies with 16 first half points on 60% shooting (6 for 10) — and, ultimately, tallied 28 total points.
For the game, the Dawgs shot 54.7% overall (35 for 64); 33.3% from three-point range (8 for 24); and 67.5% on two-point attempts (27 for 40).

Washington’s defense held the Nebraska offense to 40.4% from the field overall; and only 22.2% from mid-range areas.
However, Nebraska shot 90% at-the-rim (9 for 10) and 38.1% on three-point attempts (8 for 21).

The Dawgs scored 50 points-in-the-paint versus only 26 by the Huskers.
Washington committed only 5 turnovers versus 15 turnovers by Nebraska.
UW WBB Player of the Game: Elle Ladine
In 32 minutes of playing time, Elle Ladine led the Huskies with 28 points by shooting 61.1% from the field overall (11-18); 44.4% from three-point range (4 for 9); and 77.8% (7 for 9) on two-point attempts.

Ladine also recorded four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal.
Elle Ladine also scored her 1,000th career point as a Washington Husky on a second quarter three-pointer.


1st Quarter
In a tightly contested first period, the teams switched leads multiple times.
In the first quarter, the Huskies offense shot 50% overall (8 of 16) and 37.5% (3 for 8) from three-point range.
Meanwhile, Nebraska shot 61.5% (8 for 13)shooting overall and 40% (2 for 5) from three-point range.
The Huskies were led by Elle Ladine with nine (9) points; Dalayah Daniels added four points; Chloe Briggs and Devon Coppinger contributed three points each; and Sayvia Sellers added two points.
The Huskies and Huskers were tied at 21 each to end the first period.

2nd Quarter
In the second period, the Huskies outscored Nebraska, 18-16.
Washington shot 43.8% (7-16) from the field overall; and 33.3% (2 for 6) from three-point range.
Meanwhile, Nebraska’s offense shot 50% (6 for 12) from the field overall; along with 25% (1 for 4) shooting from three-point range.
The Huskies were led by Elle Ladine with seven (7) points; Breann McDonald with four points; Sayvia Sellers with three points; while Dalayah Daniels and Chloe Briggs added two points each.
Heading into halftime, the Huskies led by two points, 39-37.

3rd Quarter
In the third period, a 15-0 scoring run by the Huskies ultimately sealed the game.
The Dawgs posted 21 points on 58.8% (10 for 17) shooting overall; and despite 0% from three-point range (0 for 4).
Nebraska was held to five (5) points in the third quarter, on 11.8% shooting overall (2 for 17) and 16.7% from three-point range (1 for 6).
Washington was led in scoring by Dalayah Daniels with nine (9) points; Elle Ladine with six points; Teagan Brown with four points; and Hannah Stines added two points.
The Huskies extended their lead to 18 points heading into the final period, 60-42.

4th Quarter
In the final period, the Huskies outscored the Huskers, 23 to 20.
The Huskies coasted to victory on 66.7% (10 for 15) shooting overall; and 50% shooting from three-point range (3 for 6).
In the fourth period, Washington was led by Elle Ladine and Dalayah Daniels with six (6) points each; Devon Coppinger with five points; Hannah Stines added four points; and Teagan Brown added two points.
The Dawgs posted a 83-62 victory over Nebraska.
