The undefeated Washington Huskies (2-0) are back in action, hosting the winless Siena Saints (0-1), on Sunday, November 10th at 2 p.m. (also on the B1G TEN PLUS NETWORK).
After opening the season with two high-scoring blowout victories at home, the Huskies look for the trifecta against Siena.
The Huskies offensive output is currently performing at a high level.
The Dawgs are shooting 48.2% overall; including, 39.6% from three-point range; 70% within 4.5 feet of the rim; and 52.7% from two-point range overall.
Siena Saints Previe
Siena’s first game of the season was a 66-56 loss to Army West Point in its season opener.
Siena struggled offensively: shooting 36.7% overall, including only 20% (3 for 15) from three-point range and 42.2% (19 for 45) from two-point range.
Only two Saints players scored in double figures.
Siena’s 5’7″ guard Ahniysha Jackson led the Saints with 14 points.
To secure the victory over Siena, the UW Huskies will need to:
(1) Stop Siena’s two leading scorers, guards Ahniysha Jackson and KB Hadley, with constant ball pressureto prevent dribble penetration and open three-point shots;
(2) force turnovers and push tempo to score in transition and wear down Siena with the Huskies’ depth of quality guard play; and
(3) dominate Siena inside-the-paint offensively and defensively with their significant frontcourt height advantage.
The Washington Huskies should dominate this game from start to finish and win by 20+ points.
