On Wednesday evening, Tayra Eke, the (now) former 6’3″ Eastern Michigan post player, announced that she is transferring to Washington with a series of pictures on her instagram social media account.
An incoming senior, Eke is a native of Madrid, Spain that has represented her native country in international competition — ie, FIBA under 19.
Tayra Eke was All-MAC Defensive Team selection in 2023-24.
Eke averaged 9.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game last season.
