On Senior Night, the Washington Huskies(15-12 overall; 5-11 PAC) pulled off an upset of #9-ranked Oregon State at Hec Ed, 61-51.
Oregon State was playing without their leading scorer and rebounder, Raegan Beers, who suffered a broken nose versus UCLA a few games ago.
The Washington Huskies jumped out to an early lead to seize control over the Beavers,14-5, in the first quarter.
The Beavers struggle rallied to stage a second half comeback as the Huskies cruised to a comfortable victory, 61-51.
For the game, Washington’s defense limited Oregon State shooters to 35.2% shooting from the field, and 35.5% shooting on two point attempts.
However, Washington defenders allowed the Beavers offense more success from three-point range with 34.8% accuracy (8 for 23).
For the game, the Huskies offense struggled from three-point range, shooting only 25% (4 for 16); as well as struggling at the rim (45.5%)– within 4.5 feet.
Washington was much better shooting from farther away in two-point range (53.7%) overall, including 54.5% from mid-range.

In the first period, the Huskies began the game with an 8-0 scoring run to seize control of the game and force a timeout by the Beavers.

The Huskies were led by Dalayah Daniels with six (6) points on 50% shooting overall in 8 minutes; and nine points by Lauren Schwartz on 50% (2 for 4 shooting overall with 3 rebounds and two steals.

At the end of the first period, the Dawgs held an 8-point lead,14-5.
2nd Quarter
In the second period, the Beavers (somewhat) surged offensively to get back in the game.
Washington struggled shooting 33.3% (4 for 12) from the field and 25% (1 for 4) from three-point range; however, Oregon State only shot 33% overall (5 for 15) overall and 0% from deep (0 for 6).

The Huskies were led by Elle Ladine with five points; and Sayvia Sellers and Olivia Anderson with two points each.
At halftime, the Dawgs held a 7-point lead over the Beavers, 24-17.
3rd Quarter
In the third quarter, the Huskies surged offensively with 20 points on 61.5% shooting.
The Huskies were led in scoring by Elle Ladine with 10 points; Dalayah Daniels with six points; and Sayvia Sellers with 4 points.

Washington held a commanding 11-point lead, 44-33, heading into the fourth quarter.
4th Quarter
In the final period, Washington maintained its lead by shooting 75% (3 for 4) from three-point range (and 43.8% overall.
Also, Dalayah Daniels recorded her 100th career steal.
