The Washington Huskies host the #9 Oregon State Beavers on Sunday, Feb. 25th@ 12PM.

The Washington Huskies (14-12 overall, 4-11 PAC) host the #9 Oregon State Beavers (22-4 overall, 11-4 PAC) on Sunday Feb. 25th @ 12PM.

In their last game before facing Washington, Oregon State beat Washington State, 65-52.

Beavers Offense

The Oregon State Beavers offense averages 72.5 points per game; while the Huskies defense is holding opponents to 59.3 points per game.

Oregon State is an excellent three-point shooting team at 40.2 % accuracy from beyond the arc.

Oregon State is averaging 19.4 three-point attempts per game.

Currently, the Huskies are holding opponents to 29.3% shooting from three-point range (Top 24% nationwide).

Washington Defense

The Washington Huskies will need to disrupt the Oregon State offense by playing stifling perimeter defense to tightly contest Oregon States’s multiple three-point shooters.

The Dawgs will also need to play tenacious inside defense “in the paint” against Oregon State’s primary inside scorers, particularly Raegan Beers, by denying them position inside and denying the entry pass.

Much of Oregon State’s offense comes from inside-the-paint (43.3.%); so the Huskies must contest all shots in the and around the lane.

More generally, the Huskies defense must also dominate and control the inside by remaining active and physical on the boards.
