The Washington Huskies (11-4, 1-3 Pac-12) suffered their third (straight) loss of the PAC-12 season at home to Washington State, 72-59.
The Huskies shot 46% from the field overall, but managed only 25% (3 for 12) from three-point range — which did not help offset their height disadvantage to the Cougars
Washington’s defense allowed WSU to score 72 points (a new season-high, eclipsing the 71 points scored by Stanford a week ago).
Meanwhile, WSU shot 50% from the field overall, including a scorching 42.9% accuracy from three-point range and 52.2% from two-point range.
However, Washington State exploited the Washington defense inside with multiple layups and shots in the lane area, scoring a whopping 42 total points-in-the-paint.
For the game, the Cougars had 11 offensive rebounds versus eight total for the Huskies.
As a result, the Cougars scored 17 points on second chance opportunities, while Washington only had two (2) second chance points.

Washington was led by Hannah Stines, Dalayah Daniels and Elle Ladine in the first quarter with 4 points each.
2nd Quarter
Washington shot 33% (8 for 16) and 0% from three-point range in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, the Cougars shot 50% overall and 60% from three-point range.
Washington State outscored UW, 17-8, in the second period.
Daniels led the Huskies scoring in the second quarter with 4 points; followed by Elle Ladine and Chloe Briggs with 2 points.

The Cougars went into halftime with a 28-26 lead over the Huskies.
3rd Quarter
Washington State kept control of the game in the third period by edging Washington in scoring, 19-17.
However, Washington shot 60% from the field overall in the third period, powered by Dalayah Daniels.
Daniels had a big scoring performance in the third period with 15 points on 83.3% shooting overall (5 for 6), including 50% (1 for 2) from three-point range, to keep the Huskies close.
Heading into the fourth quarter, Washington State led Washington, 47-43.
4th Quarter
Washington’s offense mostly struggled in the fourth quarter, as the Huskies shot 0% from three-point range and 41.1% overall — as Washington State extended their lead to blowout proportions.
Ultimately, WSU cruised to victory, 72-59.
