The Washington Huskies dominated the Saint Mary’s Gaels, 64-32 from tip-off to the final buzzer.
For the game, the Huskies shot 41.2% from two-point range, and shot 40.9% (9 for 22) from three-point range. Washington shot 41.1% from the field overall.
Washington’s three-point defense stymied Saint Mary’s three-point shooters all game — the Gaels shot 20% (2 for 10) from three-point range.
The Gaels offense inside the arc was not much better –Saint Mary’s shot 25.6% (10 for 39) on their two-point attempts.
The Huskies dom8inated the Gaels on the boards with 41 total rebounds versus 29 for Saint Mary’s.
Likewise, the Huskies were dominant scoring more points-in-the-paint than the Gaels, 20-10 inside.
The Huskies won the turnover battle with UW committing only 11 turnovers; while the Gaels had 16 turnovers for the game.
1st Quarter
Washington got out to a good start with tough defense and hot shooting — making 77.8% of their two-point attempts and 50% from beyond the arc.

The Dawgs had a 10-0 scoring run that put them up 17-4 with just over three minutes left in the first period.
The Huskies were led by Chloe Briggs with 9 points (3-4 from three); followed by Dalayah Daniels with 6 points; and Hannah Stines added 5 points for the Dawgs.

UW smacked the Gaels early, and led 26-8 at the end of the first quarter.
2nd Quarter
The Washington Huskies outscored the Gaels 14-5 in the 2nd quarter.
The Huskies were led by Dalayah Daniels (4 points); while Chloe Briggs and Teagan Brown had 3 points each.

At halftime, the Dawgs held a 27-point lead over the Gaels, 40-13.
3rd Quarter
In the third quarter the Huskies offense only made 37.5% of their two-point attempts (3 for 8) in the third quarter.
However, the Dawgs shot 50.0% from three-point range (2 for 4).
