The Washington Huskies Women’s Basketball program travels to Pullman to face the #21-ranked WSU Cougars on Sunday, December 10th at 1PM Pacific.

Washington Defense vs. Washington State Offense
The Washington State Cougars offense averages 76.6 points per game; while the Huskies defense is holding opponents to 46.1 points per game — a 30.5 point differential.
Washington State is an above average three-point shooting team at 32.5% accuracy from beyond the arc.
Washington State is averaging 21.1 three-point attempts per game.
Currently, the Huskies are holding opponents to 23.6% shooting from three-point range.
The Washington State Cougars make 52.8% of their two-point attempts.
Washington averages 31.2 defensive rebounds per game, which ranks in the Top 3% among Division One schools nationally.
Meanwhile, the Cougars average 11.5 offensive rebounds per game.
The Huskies also average 4.1 blocks per game, which ranks among the Top 21% of Division One schools nationally.

Senior 6’3″ center Bella Murekatete is the leading scorer for the Washington State Cougars at 14.6 points per game.
Murekatete is not a three-point threat at all — with zero three-point attempts this season (0%).
Instead Bella Murekatete is almost exclusively an inside scorer — 106 of her 116 shot attempts were inside-the-paint or at the free throw line.
Murekatete is also a major defensive presence for the WSU Cougars — averaging 1.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.

Despite being the Cougars second-leading scorer at 12.9 points per game, Charlisse Leger-Walker is the Cougars primary offensive threat and their most diverse inside-outside scorer.
Although Legere-Walker appears to be currently struggling from midrange (8% accuracy on 2 for 25 shooting); as well as struggling from three-point range (22.9%).
However, Legere-Walker is compensating by attacking the lane — she makes 69.2% of her shots within 4.5 feet of the rim; and 55.9% of her shots further away in the lane.

Eleonora Villa is a 5’8″ guard and the Cougars third-leading scorer at 11.4 points per game.
An excellent shooter from all areas of the court, Villa is a bit of a x-factor offensive weapon for the Cougars.
Eleonora Villa is capable of getting hot from three-point range (37.3%), midrange (54.5%); as well as in the lane — making 76.5% of her shots within 4.5 feet of the rim; and 44.8% of her shots further away in the lane.

Astera Tuhina is a 5’9″ guard and the Cougars leading three-point shooter at 47.1% accuracy, providing 8.9 points per game.
Meanwhile, Tuhina also makes only 51.3% of her two-point attempts, in both midrange and in the lane area — demonstrating her propensity to penetrate and attack the defense when she’s not shooting threes.
