The Washington Huskies beat the Air Force Falcons, 73-53, in the second game of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown.
The Huskies started quickly in the first and third quarters to build a 16-point lead at halftime, 35-19.
Washington gave an uneven second half performance but ultimately coasted to a 20-point victory.
The Huskies shot 50% from two-point range, and shot 31.3 % (5 for 16) from three-point range.
Washington out-rebounded the Falcons, 45-31.
Points-in-the-paint were the difference for the Huskies, as they outscored Air Force 46-18 inside.
Both teams committed 13 turnovers for the game.
1st Quarter
The Huskies jumped out with a quick 7-0 scoring run to start the first period.
UW went cold over the final four minutes of the quarter, before running out for some easy fastbrreak scoring down the stretch.
The Dawgs leading scorers in the quarter were Elle Ladine with five points; with Jayda Noble and Lauren Schwartz adding four points each.
UW led 16-9 at the end of the first quarter.
2nd Quarter
The UW Huskies started quickly in the second quarter with a 7-1 scoring run that gave the Dawgs a double-digit lead.
Lauren Schwartz scored 7 points and Dalayah Daniels scored 6 points to lead the Dawgs in the quarter.
The Dawgs outscored the Falcons 19-10 in the 2nd quarter and led 35-19 at halftime.
3rd Quarter
The Huskies were out-scored by the Falcons 11-2 to start the third period.
Dalayah Daniels had a team-leading 7 points for the Huskies.
UW outscored AIr Force 22-17 in the third period.
Washington led 57-36 heading into the fourth quarter.
4th Quarter
In the final period, the Washington Huskies were outscored by Air Force, 17-16, as the Huskies offense went cold.
The Huskies mostly traded baskets in the fourth quarter and secured the victory, 73-53.
Ari Long had a team-leading 5 points; she was followed by Hannah Stines with 4 points in the fourth quarter.
UW Player of the Game: Lauren Schwartz Lauren Schwartz led the Huskies to victory with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Schwartz shot 72.7% (8 for 11) from the field overall; 33% from three-point range(1 for 3) and a perfect 2 for 2 from the free throw line.
