Former Washington women’s basketball player Alexis Griggsby is heading down the coast for her final year of college eligibility.
Griggsby is joining the Pepperdine women’s basketball program as a graduate transfer.
After six years with the Huskies, the Los Angeles area native (Northridge, California) will use an extra year of eligibility to play for the Waves, granted by the NCAA due to a medical exception.
Griggsby sat out the entire 2022-23 season with an injury.
In her injury-shortened 2021-22 season, Griggsby shot 45.8% from three-point range in which she started the first seven games of the season for the Huskies — capped off by a 23-point offensive explosion against Seattle University.

In 2018-19, Griggsby scored a career-high 26 points (6-for-11 from three-point range) on the road against the 5th-ranked Oregon Ducks on January 4, 2019.

Lexi Griggsby played in 108 games during her time with the Huskies, making 39 starts.
More importantly, Lexi’s inspiring leadership for the Dawgs on defense and offense, as well as on the sidelines, will be missed.
We at UDUBWBB.com thank Lexi Griggsby for her leadership and performance for the Washington Huskies; and we wish her all the best moving forward.
