Game Summary

It took until the second half for he Huskies to establish themselves as the superior team.
As both teams literally matched each other’s ineptness for a very unsatisfactory first half for either side — other than the fact, San Francisco was the underdog and matched UW’s 19-point performance in the first half.
Washington shook off the rust and increased their energy in the second half.
1st Quarter
The first quarter featured woeful offense by both teams.
USF shot 30.8% overall and 33.3% from three=point range.
UW shot only 35.3% overall and 0.0% (0 for 5) from three-point range.
Washington’s Haley Van Dyke and Dalayah Daniels led the way with four points each in the first period.

To round out UW’s scoring, Trinity Oliver added three points and Emma Grothaus added two points for the Huskies.
At the end of the first quarter, UW held a slim 1-point lead, 14 – 13.
2nd Quarter
The second quarter was even worse than the first as UW scored only six points versus seven points by USF.
Dalayah Daniels scored four points and Stines chipped in two points for the Huskies.

In the second quarter, USF shot only 15.4% overall and 25% from three-point range.
By comparison, UW shot 27.3% overall and again were 0.0% (0 for 5) from three-point range.
At the end of the second period, the score was tied 19-19.
3rd Quarter
The Huskies finally broke out of their offensive slump to score 22 points in the third quarter (versus 12 points by the Dons).
The Huskies were led by Haley Van Dyke with a team-leading 8 points in the third period — along with 4 rebounds and 1 assist.
