SEATTLE, Wash. – The Washington Huskies women’s basketball program will begin their 2022-23 regular season against the Utah Tech Trailblazers at Hec Ed on Monday, November 7th at 5 p.m.
The game will be streamed on the Washington Live Stream (GoHuskies.com/Live).
Head coach Tina Langley begins her second season at the helm of the Washington Women’s Basketball program. The Huskies finished the 2021 -2022 season with a record of 7-16 overall and 2-12 in Pac-12 conference play.
The former Rice head coach welcomes back eight returning players plus six newcomers (two transfers and four freshman).
Washington added Lehigh transfer, Emma Grothaus to the frontcourt.
Grothaus, a 6’4″ graduate transfer, played in 30 games for Lehigh last season and averaged 12.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game with 10 double-double performances (at least 10 points and 10 rebounds per game).
Recently, Emma Grothaus was named to the 2023 Lisa Lisa Award Watch List for the Center of the Year award.
The Utah Tech Trailblazers were picked to finish No. 7 in the Preseason WAC (Western Athletic Conference) Media Poll.
