This chart illustrates a statistical comparison between the Washington Women’s Basketball program versus the Arizona Wildcats.
The Washington WBB Huskies will face #8 Arizona on Friday, February 18th at 7PM PT.
In order to pull off a massive upset, the Washington Huskies will need to play their best game of the season by:
(1) using their defensive rebounding advantage (26.2 per game/109th best in the nation) to control the paint and limit Arizona’s putback opportunities (Top 5% in the nation);
(2) slowing down the Wildcats’ transition offense (70.8 points per game/63rd best in nation) to make them run a half-court offense;
(3) successfully defending Arizona’s three-point attack to significantly reduce their three-point percentage from 36.0% (24th best in the nation);
(4) significantly reducing Washington’s own turnovers from 18.3 (293rd in the nation) to limit Arizona’s opportunistic defense (19 opponent turnovers per game/44th best in the nation); and
(5) turn this into a low-scoring defensive battle.
