Haley Van Dyke has officially left the NCAA Transfer Portal and is returning to the University of Washington Huskies Women’s Basketball program.
It had become apparent to us, that the longer Haley remained mum about leaving to a specific school, the more likely she was just weighing her options and could return to Montlake.
The return of Haley Van Dyke is a boost to the Huskies in more ways than one.
Van Dyke was a leader of the 2020-2021 Washington Huskies, both offensively and defensively.
Last season, Haley Van Dyke was named honorable mention to the ALL-PAC-12 and All-Pac-12 Defensive teams.
With Van Dyke returning, and the addition of graduate transfer Nancy Mulkey, the Huskies frontcourt looks set with a frontline of Van Dyke, Darcy Rees and Mulkey.
Now Coach Langley and the coaching staff can focus on improving the point guard position (after the loss of starter Tameiya Sadler to Colorado).
