University of Washington Athletic Director Jen Cohen announced today that Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jody Wynn has been relieved of her coaching duties, effective immediately.
In a statement released by UW Athletics, AD Cohen stated:
I want to thank Jody for her contributions to the program the last four years… These decisions are extremely difficult, but we felt it was in the best interest of our current and future Huskies to make a leadership change and move in a new direction with our women’s basketball program. We wish her and her family the best moving forward.
Over four seaasons, Jody Wynn amassed a 38-75 (0.336) record overall.
Coach Wynn was 11-58 (0.159) record in PAC-12 conference play.
Deputy Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator, Erin O’Connell will head the search for Wynn’s replacement as head coach of the Washington Women’s Basketball program.
