On December 4th, the Washington Huskies Women’s basketball team defeated the California Golden Bears, 80-53.
Washington’s team defense posted another dominating performance as Washington Huskies defenders had 8 steals and forced 27 turnovers from the Golden Bears; and California only shot 26.9% from three-point range.
Two Huskies defenders standout as holding the individual California players they defended scoreless: Tameiya Sadler (3 possessions defended) and Haley Van Dyke (also, 3 possessions defended).
The only other Husky to hold California players to less than 30% shooting overall was Jayda Noble. Noble held California players she defended to 25% shooting from the field on 4 possessions defended.
Khayla Rooks (5) and Alexis Whitfield (4) had the highest defensive possessions defended for the Huskies.
