Margarita “Rita” Pleskevich, a 5’10” guard from Moscow, Russia, entered her name into the NCAA Transfer Portal (per WBBBlog.com); and is no longer on the University of Washington women’s basketball roster.
Rita came to UW from Broward College — a junior college in Miami, Florida — arriving at UW with two years of playing eligibility. 
Pleskevitch was recruited as a point guard but struggled in that role for the Huskies, despite the Huskies’ coaches naming her a starter in many games and giving her ample playing time (16.4 minutes per game).
RIta was often at a disadvantage athletically when compared to other PAC-12 starting point guards, both offensively and defensively.
Rita had a season high of 4 assists against Washington State and averaged 1.1 assists per game for the season.
Although she was previously a knockdown three-point shooter for the Russian National Team, as well as at Broward, Rita shot only 22% from beyond the three-point line for the Dawgs on 11 for 50 shooting.
Late in the PAC-12 season, Rita scored a season high 15 points in the Huskies’ home upset of #10 UCLA on a perfect shooting night — i.e, 6 of 6 from the field overall and 3 of 3 from the three-point line (no free throws).
However, her performance versus UCLA would be the height of Pleskevich’s Washington career, as she scored two, four and zero points in the Huskies’ final three games, respectively.
At this time, it is unknown where Rita Pleskevich intends to transfer, however, we wish her nothing but success ahead.
