Oregon shoots only 29% on three-pointers overall; 28.3% on straightaway threes; and a mediocre 30% on corner threes.
Oregon makes 60% of their attempts at-the-rim (282 for 470).
The Ducks are only 39.9% effective from further away inside-the-paint (5 feet or more).
Oregon shoots only 35.4% from the mid-range area (76 for 203 attempts).
The Oregon Ducks have only one player averaging 10 points or more.
Peyton Scott, a 5’8″ graduate guard, is the Ducks leading scorer, averaging a team-leading 10.0 points per game; along with 2.7 rebounds; 1.6 assists; and 1.0 steal.

Scott is a good three-point shooter overall (34.4% on 22 for 64 attempts), including a very poor 19.2% on corner three-pointers.
Scott is a good finisher at the rim, making 63.3% of shots within 4.5 feet; as well as 40% from further away in the lane.
Deja Kelly, a 5’8″ graduate guard, averages 9.9 points per game; along with 4.4 rebounds; 3.3 assists; and 1.4 steals.

Kelly is primarily a mid-range scorer: shooting 42.6% from mid-range areas.
Surprisingly, the athletic Kelly struggles finishing at the rim (48.8% within 4.5 feet); as well as further away in-the-paint (36.2% beyond five feet).
Kelly is also a very poor three-point shooter (14.3%).
Two ex-Huskies Face the Dawgs
Ari Long a 6’0″ sophomore guard and Washington transfer, averages 2.8 points per game; 1.7 rebounds; 0.7 steals; and 0.5 assists.

Long is known for her three-point shooting, however at Oregon has mostly been a two-point scorer: shooting an excellent 53.8% on all two-point attempts (14 for 26); including a scorching 75% in the mid-range area (limited attempts).
Long has struggled from three-point range (21.1% overall on 8 for 38 attempts); as well as at the rim within 4.5 feet (56.3%); and from further away in the paint (33.3%).
Alexis Whitfield, a 6’2″ graduate forward and ex-Husky, averages 4.8 points per game; 2.5 rebounds; 0.9 assists; 0.8 steals; and 0.3 blocks.

Whitfield is a very effective mid-range scorer (47.1%); as well as effective shooting 33.3% on corner threes; and an average three-point shooter overall (30%).
Whitfield is a good finisher at-the-rim (converting 67.4% within 4.5 feet); yet struggles further away in-the-paint (28.6%).
To secure the victory over Oregon, the UW Huskies will need to:
(1) outrebound Oregon (35.5 rebounds per game vs 35 per game by UW) in total rebounds, while limiting their offensive rebounds (11.2 per game by the Ducks);
(2) tally more team assists than the Ducks (14.8 per game vs. 14.2 assists by UW);
(3) efficiently execute Washington’s offense to limit turnovers to 10 or less (UW averages 15.5 per game), while forcing 10 or more turnovers by Oregon (the Ducks average 13.6 per game); and
(4) make at least 33% of the Huskies’ three-point attempts — with at least eight (8) made threes.
Huskies Win Probability: 55%
Oregon is far from an offensive juggernaut, they must win ugly and by doing the little things on defense and on the boards. Simply put, the Huskies must play a more organized and flowing game of basketball than the Ducks to secure the win.
GO HUSKIES!
