The Washington Huskies (12-6) struggled defensively and were defeated handily by Michigan (12-5) on the road, 69-82.
The Washington Huskies shot 38.5% from three-point range (5 for 13); 47.4% overall (27 for 57); and 50% on two-point attempts (22 for 44).

Washington had no answer for a Michigan Wolverines offense that was more efficient than the Huskies: shooting 36.4% from three-point range; 58.1% on two-point attempts; and 50.8% overall.

1st Quarter
In the first period, Washington started the game very slowly with a 7-point first period.
The Huskies were led by Sayvia Sellers with five points; and Elle Ladine added two points — no other Huskies scored in the period.
In the first quarter, the Huskies struggled offensively, shooting 23.1% overall (3 of 13) and 25% (1 for 4) from three-point range.
Meanwhile, the Wolverines scored 19 points in the quarter, on 42.9% shooting overall (6 for 14) and 37.5% (3 for 8) from three-point range.
The Huskies trailed by 12 points to end the first period, 7-19.

2nd Quarter
In the second period, Washington shot 50% from the field overall; but only 25% (1 for 4) from three-point range.
The Huskies outscored the Wolverines, 19-17, as Michigan’s offense misfired by shooting 35.7% (5 for 14) shooting from the field overall; yet managed a hot 62.5% (5 for 8) shooting from three-point range.
The Huskies were led by Hannah Stines with seven points; Dalayah Daniels and Sayvia Sellers added four points each; and Elle Ladine and Tayra Eke added two points each.
Heading into halftime, the Huskies trailed by 10 points, 26-36.

3rd Quarter
In the third quarter, Elle Ladine tried to spark a Huskies comeback with a 9-point scoring effort, as the Dawgs posted 20 points in the third period on 50% (7 for 14) shooting overall and 100% from three-point range (2 for 2).
However, Michigan scored 24 points in the third quarter, on 64.7% shooting overall (11 for 17) –despite shooting 0% from three-point range (0-2).
Washington was led in scoring by Ladine’s nine points; Sayvia Sellers added eight points; and Hannah Stines contributed three points.
The Huskies fell behind by 14 points heading into the final period, 46-60.

In the final period, the Wolverines put the Huskies away for good with a 22-point scoring spree, despite a valiant 13-point scoring effort by Huskies super sophomore guard Sayvia Sellers.
In the fourth period, Washington was led by Sellers with 13 points; Hannah Stines added six points; and Elle Ladine and Teagan Brown added two points each.

In 39 minutes of playing time, Sayvia Sellers led the Huskies with 30 points by shooting 50% from the field overall (10-20); and 37.5% three-point range (3 for 8).
Sayvia also recorded three rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
