The Washington Huskies (preseason ranked at #17) will open their 2025-26 regular season by hosting the Seattle University Redhawks — on Monday, November 3rd at 5:00 p.m. on the B1G Ten Plus Network.
Expected Starters
Eight returning players from last season dominate the Huskies 2025 roster, including three Washington starters: 5’7″ junior point guard Sayvia Sellers (15.3 points per game on 53.2% shooting from two-point range vs. 38.7% from three-point range, 3.9 assists and 1.8 steals;
5’11” senior shooting guard Elle Ladine (17.0 points per game on 53.2% shooting from two-point range vs. 39.3% from three-point range, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals);
and 5’11” senior combo guard Hannah Stines (9.6 points per game on 53.1% shooting from two-point range vs. 35.6% from three-point range, 2.7 assists, and 0.9 steals).
In addition, the Huskies brought in high impact player and former USC starter, 6’0″ sophomore sharpshooter Avery Howell (7.5 points per game on 53.2% shooting from two-point range vs. 39.9% from three-point range; 0.9 assists; and 0.8 steals).

The Huskies also added another transfer that they hope will have a high impact in 6’5″ senior center Yulia Grabovskaia from Michigan (5.3 points per game on 48% shooting from two-point range; 4.1 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks).

Seattle University Preview
The Seattle University roster is somewhat of a mystery due to nine new players on Seattle’s roster.
Expect returning senior Tamia Stricklin, a 6’0″ forward to lead the Redhawks — she shot 32% from the three-point range last season, averaging 8.9 points per game.
Guard Sydnie Rodriguez is another returning three-point shooter for the Redhawks (5.6 points per game).
The Redhawks also added five transfers to their program: graduates Ella Brubaker (Pepperdine) and Andjela Bigovic (Tarleton State); as well as senior Aaliyah Ibarra (Utah Tech), junior Lucija Milkovic (Missouri) and sophomore Fia Proctor (Wyoming).
To secure the victory over Seattle, the UW Huskies will need to:
(1) Push tempo to score in transition and take advantage of their roster depth and guard heavy lineup;
(2) efficiently execute the Huskies offense by limiting turnovers to 10 or less; and
(3) dominate the Redhawks with inside-the-paint scoring by the Huskies, with a target of 25 or more points-in-the-paint total.
A home victory by the Washington Huskies should be expected with a dominant victory by the Dawgs of 20 or more points.
Huskies Win Probability: 99%
